Lectures
I offer public-facing lectures and classroom talks that make design thinking accessible while still grounded in professional practice. Sessions can be delivered in person or online, and adapted for 30 / 45 / 60 minutes with optional Q&A or short exercises.
1) How Branding Design Tricks You Into Paying More Money
An Introduction to Visual Strategy for Non-Designers
A practical, approachable talk on how branding influences everyday decisions—through hierarchy, color, typography, packaging cues, retail environments, and “premium” signaling. Participants learn how to spot common tactics and read products, ads, and store layouts more critically.
2) Self-Assigned Design Practice
A System of Creative Autonomy for Contemporary Designers
A framework for sustaining a self-directed design practice beyond external briefs. The lecture shares methods for generating self-assigned projects, working with constraints, building repeatable creative rhythms, and translating research and iteration into portfolio pieces, exhibitions, and teaching material.
Additional Offerings
I’m also available for guest lectures, panel talks, and short lecture series, as well as summer intensives that combine a talk + workshop format. Topics can extend into visual storytelling, zines/micro-publishing, experimental typography, collage-based systems, and portfolio development—customized to your audience and program goals.
